The Metro State Parks newsletter was another school project. We were required to create a 12 page, full color newsletter and use all of information we were given (which was intentionally more than could be easily fit in such a booklet), every page had to have at least one photo on it, and we had to also produce a style guide document.
My solution to including all of the information was noticing we hadn’t been told we had to use all of the actual text, we just couldn’t leave any information out. So I devised a series of icons to convey which amenities each park offers since, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words!
The newsletter may be fictional, but thankfully the Metro State Parks are not!
